WONDER: Penalty for late dig

Steve Cameron’s “I wonder” column regarding the role of the Kootenai County Republican Central Committee provides a fair overview of our local party’s main functions. The jab at the end, however, was unnecessary. No resolution can come before the State Party without first being passed by a county organization. If party officers are to act as liaisons to our elected officials, as we are instructed to do by the governing document of the Idaho Republican Party referenced by Mr. Cameron, then we are obligated to address and debate local, state and national issues at the county level.

Issues of war and peace deserve more than a “Meh” from the Coeur d’Alene Press.
