THUGS: Look to the left

Bob Fullick, Letters, Aug. 16, is filled with passion for his political beliefs, but might want to rethink his desire to silence anyone of other opinions. He praises his grandparents for fighting to “rid the world of Nazis,” but forgets that those grandparents had grandparents who fought to secure freedom of speech for him.

Many people who parade in the streets today couldn’t even spell NAtionalsoZIalist, never mind articulate what their tenets were. They are just excited by the uniforms and symbols. A greater and growing threat comes from those folks who want to decide for us whose opinions can be aired and who must be shut up — and follow that with black-costumed violence. They are the mob-rule thugs on the political left, all filled with determination to tell you what you may say and when you can say it. Reminds me a lot of some folks who got started while wearing brown shirts.
