HISTORY: Watch your step

ISIS marches into other countries and destroys art, monuments, statues and buildings that offend their beliefs. They are literally erasing history.

Now we have Americans wiping out the history of the South by destroying statues and monuments. Where is the outrage from our teachers and historians? Washington owned slaves, so did Jefferson. Should we just stand by and let mobs go to Washington, D.C., and tear down their monuments?

I don’t care about your politics or how the president responds to rioting. We as Americans should be afraid of this slippery slope. Lenin said it best, “Take away a people’s history and you can teach them anything.” This is the beginning of your history re-education.
