ALT-RIGHT: Disturbing definitions
I am trying to understand all of the Republican political organizations. Basic old-time conservatism I get, as I grew up in a strong Republican family and was one until it dawned on me I was an environmentalist.
Until a few days ago, however, I’ve puzzled over the meaning of an “alt-right” Republican. Then, as I read a recent report of the violent rally in Charlottesville, I found the following description. “Alt-right” is a rebranding of white nationalism, racism and, in the extreme, Nazism. Obviously, racist and Nazi flags were proudly displayed in the rally.
Do Idaho Republicans fit this “alt-right” description? Isn’t there at least one “alt-right” legislator in North Idaho? Lastly, I hope someone will explain a “redoubt.” I’m thinking they might just be a very rich version of an “alt-right.”
