Carter Friesz

Coeur d’Alene Lumbermen

Friesz, an infielder/pitcher, went 3 for 9 with a home run in the Class A Northwest Regional tournament Aug. 4 and 5 in Eugene, Ore., He struck out six in the team’s game against Wyoming on Aug. 5. “Carter was the most talented player at the regional tournament in my opinion,” Coeur d’Alene coach Pat Capone said. “He turned in his best outing of the year on the mound, going seven innings. As good as Carter is on the field, he’s an even more impressive kid off the field.”
