CARS: Good job, commissioners
Finally we have three county commissioners who aren’t afraid to ask questions. I am sure if the sheriff needs cars, the commissioners will get them cars. Sheriff Wolfinger wanted to build a war chest of cars and cost the taxpayers money. If they can’t get the cars equipped, then why do they need more cars? This is one example of poor management on the sheriff side. If they need new cars then take one out of service at a time and equip them with the equipment they have available. It seems to any reasonable person that they should have asked for the equipment they needed to support the new cars they already have on their lot instead of having more cars sitting there.
I am not against Law Enforcement. I support them completely. Give them anything they need to do the job, however, management tends to ask for much more than they need. The officers are the ones who suffer. Thanks to Commissioners Chris Fillios, Marc Eberlein and Bob Bingham for looking after the public’s best interests.
