David Michael Johnson, 73

Oct. 21, 1943 – April 19, 2017

David Michael Johnson, 73, went home to be with the Lord, Wednesday, April 19, 2017, while surrounded by family and friends.

Born in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, he was the son of Hank and Florence Johnson.

Dave graduated from high school in Coeur d’Alene, then moved to Seattle, Wash., where he worked for Boeing for several years. He then changed careers and went to work for Western/Delta Airlines where he retired after 26 years. Dave retired to the Tri-City area with his wife, he enjoyed visiting with his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. As an avid fisherman, he liked fishing for yellow perch at his favorite lake, Scooteney Reservoir.

Dave is survived by his wife of 35 years Della M. Johnson of Coeur d’Alene; and by his children, Kevin (Amber) Nelson, Deana (Chuck) Dunbar, Debbie (Scott) Bennett and Shelly (Jim) Tutt; brother Carl Johnson and sister Dorothy Walden. He is preceded in death by his daughter, Tonya Hunahal.

He is also survived by grandchildren Kristopher (Annie) Dodson, Kelcie Dodson, Sydney Bennett, Emma Bennett, Somer (Robert) Snider, Matthew Hayward, Rachel (Mike) Barnes, Shannon (Josh), Jeremy Nelson, Max Nelson, Zoey Nelson, TJ Tutt, Andrea Tutt, Tessa Nelson and Jennifer Davison; and 12 great-grandchildren.
