RAIN: Building's enemy

| April 26, 2017 1:00 AM

Over the past three months I’ve been working on the future Cash&Carry at 208 E. Appleway. I recently learned the predicted opening was April 1. Unfortunately that foolish prediction was based on much warmer weather patterns.

Like all the other construction sites in the area, the predicted rain will lead to more complications and delays. I felt it was important to thank the neighboring businesses and residents for their patience regarding what city enforcement have reminded me is pushing the limits. The many local trades involved deserve thanks for improvising around the weather restrictions.

I hope the move-in process next month will be planned so traffic tie ups are minimal. I have a feeling there will be a few folks like me ready for a relaxing summer.
