MARGARET AVE: More like speedway

If the authorities would issue speeding citations on Margaret Avenue they could pay for McEuen Park, schools, plus a new jail.

Hint: Best time to ticket: 5:30 - 7:30 a.m. Think 75 mph in a 25 zone. Gold mine.

You could call the emphasis patrols “Dog N Slog,” for the dog walkers and joggers whose lives might be saved. “N Kids” but it won’t rhyme. Besides, the speeding slows to about 50 mph in the 25 zone when the school buses start to show up.

It would be unfortunate but maybe necessary to add speed bumps to Margaret Avenue for safety.
