KAHN: Earns Andrus support

Idaho’s second district voters have an opportunity to vote for a true “Andrus Democrat.” I urged Kathy Kahn to run and I endorse her candidacy.

Kathy will work passionately to improve Idaho’s educational system, expand the economic pie, and in the course of providing more jobs, still protect Idaho’s environment.

I call it the three “E’s”: education, economy and environment.

Though Kathy recently retired as a teacher at St. Maries High School, she still has a desire to work to better people’s lives.

Her opponent needs no introduction. Here are some positions taken by Vito Barbieri:

• He made Idaho the laughing stock of the YouTube world by suggesting doctors could soon stick into a female’s stomach a small camera to conduct a gynecological exam.

• He demonstrated his total disregard for teachers saying, “Teachers have a message — we just want more!”

• He told parents to pull their children out of Idaho’s “Godless” public schools.

• He tried to do math on the fly and got the budget numbers wrong.

• He has voted “no” on every public schools budget.

• He fought harder for deadbeat parents than for Idaho’s children.

• He voted to raise your property taxes by capping “household exemption” at $100,000.

North Idaho needs Kathy Kahn, who will work for you and be honored to represent you. Please give her your vote on Nov. 8.
