Donald Willis Simons, 73

July 23, 1942 - May 7, 2016

Don died peacefully in his sleep in Salem, Ore., after a short battle with cancer. A former longtime resident of Post Falls, Don will be missed dearly by all who knew him the best.

Don is survived by his four children, Laura (Eugene) West, Deborah (Feodor) Goktas, Bryan Simons and Ronnie (Lorrie) Simons; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; four sisters and two brothers.

Don is preceded in death by his parents. He will be laid to rest in a private ceremony at 10 a.m. Friday, Sept. 30, 2016, at Evergreen Cemetery, 2834 N. Spokane St., Post Falls.

In lieu of flowers, a potluck gathering will be at noon at Corbin Park in Post Falls. So family and friends bring your favorite dish, your lawn chairs and your good memories as we gather to remember the good times.
