TRUMP: The Putin predicament

| September 23, 2016 9:00 PM

Donald Trump’s warped and misguided appreciation for Vladimir Putin should be one of myriad reasons why conservatives should be wary of him.

The outright brazen corruption by the Russian Federation of the territorial integrity of Ukraine in the name of feign patriotism is not a sign of the strength of Putin’s administration, but a dangerous warning of his agenda and how he handles those who oppose him.

Russia held the referendum vote controlling the outcome by militarily coercing Crimea and violating the democratic process as well as their 1994 contractual agreement of recognizing Ukrainian sovereignty in Budapest and for beneficial collateral Ukraine would give up their nuclear weapons.

The actions of president Vladimir Putin were pompous and thuggish to say the least and dare I say perhaps synonymous with the presidential prospect that sings him praises.

Russia’s methodical codification of events that have transpired in the recent years has sadly been met with meager capitulation by the United States, who merely voice their grave concern but assert hollow confidence and execute no necessary actions in repudiating the presence of the pestilential Russian aggression in Ukraine and the surrounding Eastern European regions.

Donald Trump, just as Putin, is an opportunist who seized the moment to shine light on the current administration’s appearance of weakness and strike with his like-minded supporters anger while sadly also giving misguided praise for Russia’s apparent strength.

Is this the Commander in Chief we want? Is this pompous and careless attitude what we want controlling our foreign policy?

The office of president belongs to the candidate who can reside both as a gentleman of diplomacy and understanding, but also one who steadfastly holds to their convictions and stands unwaveringly in times of discord, calamity and trepidation.

The one who holds the office of president is a worldwide representative of this great nation. What do we as a nation wish to represent and whom do we wish to be the one who will preside over our nation as its Commander in Chief, president, and representer of the values and principles we as a nation hold so dear? This November the choice is yours.
