MOSCOW — Ashley Kaufman had 11 kills, 10 digs and two blocks for the Timberwolves in a 25-14, 25-3, 25-23 nonleague win against the Bears at Bear Den.

“Ashley played a great match,” Lake City coach Jenna Leggat said. “Numbers wise, Ashley was all over the court. But it was a complete team effort. The players stepped up and did a great job tonight. They did a great job of meshing together and playing as a team, and I’m proud of them.”

Chloe Knudson had five aces, Kaitlin Hunter five kills, Klaire Mitchell 22 assists, Arlaina Stephenson 10 digs and Ashley Reyes 18 digs for Lake City (14-1), which plays at Central Valley of Spokane tonight at 6 p.m.

Sandpoint d.

Post Falls

SANDPOINT — The visiting Trojans built sizeable leads in the first two sets, but were unable to close out the Bulldogs in a 25-23, 25-20, 25-20 loss at Les Rogers Court.

Allison Munday had 11 kills to lead Post Falls (12-7). Kalli Minden added 13 digs, Kayla Mayo and Courtney Finney 10 assists, and Cassidy Jackson three blocks.

Sandpoint (14-6) won without starting middle blocker Grace Hicks, out with a sprained ankle.

“It feels good to beat a 5A in three. With Grace out for a couple of weeks, you never know how that will affect chemistry,” Sandpoint coach Erin Roos said. “They kept their composure, and even when they were down, they didn’t panic. I think it will pay off down the road, having that confidence we can come back, we’ve done it in the past.”

Post Falls plays host to Moscow and University on Saturday.
