HORSES: Don't miss this

Draft horses are a big draw at our fair as evidenced by the crowds of people who wander through the barn for a closer look at the gentle giants! The horses will be out in full force this coming weekend at the Bonner County Fairgrounds in Sandpoint for our 40th Annual Show!

There will be a variety of competitions: Junior Driving, Ladies Cart, Antique Equipment Class, Four-horse Driving Competition and even 8-horse Hitches! Darin Nagle, featured on the front page of Tuesday’s Press, will be driving his family’s Belgians plus giving a shooting demonstration between the Friday and Saturday afternoon and evening performances! It’s a great family show in a beautiful fall setting. See www.idahodrafthorseshow.com for more information.

My husband and I, along with my dad Sy Thompson, were privileged to be part of the group who started the show 40 years ago.
