Catherine 'Cathy' J. Thompson, 71

Cathy passed away of respiratory failure due to liver failure on Friday, Aug. 26, 2016. Cathy was born March 12, 1945, to Eldon and Jeanne Locey in Ventura, Calif.

Cathy has one brother, Robert E. Locey (wife Connie Locey) and one estranged sister.

Cathy graduated from Ventura High School in 1963. Cathy married Reid M. Thompson on Dec. 20, 1968, at Channel Islands Harbor in Oxnard, Calif. Cathy retired from Union Engineering in 2005. She then moved to Post Falls, Idaho, with her family to enjoy her retirement.

Cathy passed away two years and four days after Reid. They were married 46 years before he passed away.

Cathy is survived by daughters Vicki Thompson and Rachel Thompson of Post Falls; one estranged daughter, Jodi Crespi of Florida; granddaughter Amanda Gundersen and great-granddaughter Chloe Gundersen.

Cathy was an amazing, generous, caring, kindhearted and loving wife and mother. She was loved by many family and friends.

With respect to Cathy’s wishes, there will be no memorial service.
