With Greater Spokane League teams opening up their schedules in recent years, North Idaho teams have gotten the chance to play where most of the GSL schools call home.

Lakeland (1-2) gets its chance to play at Joe Albi Stadium in Spokane today, taking on the Rogers Pirates (0-2) at 4:45 p.m.

The Hawks’ two losses have been by a total of two points.

Rogers has lost to Deer Park and Pullman so far this season.

Coeur d’Alene (2-1) at Moses Lake (0-2): Coeur d’Alene edged the Chiefs 17-14 last year in Coeur d’Alene. This year, Moses Lake has been outscored 92-35 in its two losses. Coeur d’Alene is averaging 47.0 points per game. After this game, the Vikings will play the rest of their schedule in Idaho. The Viks will have played just one of their first four games in Idaho.

Post Falls (2-1) at Cheney (1-1): The Trojans play their second game in three weeks in the city of Cheney. Post Falls lost to Mead two weeks ago at Eastern Washington’s Roos Field. The Blackhawks are coming off a one-point win over North Central last week at Albi Stadium.

Lethbridge (1-2) at Timberlake (0-3): The Tigers look to break into the win column against the Alberta squad, but it won’t be easy — Timberlake escaped with a 29-26 win over Lethbridge last year in Spirit Lake.

St. Maries (3-0) at Priest River (1-1): The Lumberjacks are coming off back-to-back shutouts, and have outscored their opponents 137-12 in three games. The Spartans opened with a 13-6 loss to Newport, then hammered Medical Lake 57-10.

Garfield-Palouse (0-1) at Lakeside (1-1): Gar-Pal was idle last week after losing its opener 54-6 to Troy. Gar-Pal beat Lakeside 28-12 last year in Plummer.

Kootenai (1-1) at Mullan (0-1): This game was rescheduled as a 6-man contest when Mullan was unable to field enough players for an 8-man team. Mullan lost 69-18 at St. Regis (Mont.) two weeks ago in a 6-man game. Kootenai is coming off a 26-22 victory last week at Timberline of Weippe.

Lake City (1-2) at Hillcrest (1-2): When the T-Wolves run the ball well and don’t commit turnovers in bunches, Lake City is tough to stop. But miscues plagued the T-Wolves last week at Central Valley, as well as in the opener vs. Madison of Rexburg. Hillcrest lost to Skyline 45-20 and Blackfoot 21-7, then beat Bonneville 28-7 last week.
