TOURNEY: A big shout out for donations

I would like to thank Real Life Ministries and dozens of volunteers for providing a memorable basketball tournament opportunity for 50 special needs players at North Idaho College on Saturday, Aug. 27. Players ranged in ages from 8 to 47, played 3:3 for most of the day, and had a wonderful time.

A big shout-out for the donations from Kootenai Health, Kootenai Cancer Center, Kootenai Urgent Care, Fleet Feet and Idaho’s Invasive Species Agency, and also to Cal DeHaas, Evan Meske, Barb Forgacs and Jan Kinnard for all their hard work organizing the event.

This activity and the people behind it is yet another example of what makes our community so special.
