Cyclocross season gets an early start

With warm weather on tap, the local cylcocross season kicks off today and Sunday with races at the Coeur d’Alene Cyclocross course off Hubbard Avenue, between North Idaho College and Riverstone.

Six races will be conducted between 9 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. both days, with more than one category on the track at any given time. Kids races are up first at 9, followed by Single Speeds at 9:30, Masters men age 40/50/60 and Womens 40+ will be at 10:30, Cat 1/2 and Cat 3 men at 12:30 p.m., Cat 1/2/3 women and Cat 4 women at 1:45 and Cat 4/5 men wrap up the day at 2:45.
