KOHLES: Breath of fresh air

To all those letter writers and readers who seem angry (speaking particularly about political positions), step back, take a deep breath and think for a few moments. Is it really a positive or constructive contribution to vilify and denigrate someone simply because they believe differently?

The bottom line is most all of us want the same things: a quality education, good paying jobs, safe neighborhoods and communities, an environment as free of pollution as can be, and, ultimately, a world in which a better life is possible for our children and grandchildren.

There are many ways to get there, certainly not just two (as in Democrat or Republican). Richard Kohles is running as a Democrat for state representative. “Kindness” is his motto. He believes in loving your neighbor as yourself and that one can benefit greatly from walking in your neighbor’s shoes. If you’re looking for more kindness and less divisiveness, vote Richard Kohles for state representative.
