REBUTTAL: Assumptions miss mark
I recently wrote a letter in rebuttal to Vonda Kerr’s letter about Hillary Clinton. Then a letter comes from the Liningers about my letter. Usually I wouldn’t write a rebuttal, but the Liningers’ letter made this a must.
First, I’m MR. Arnie Anton, not MRS. Arnie Anton. Second, they say I worked in a gay mecca. I worked Emergency Room for years, so many gun wounds and dead-on-arrivals.
Also sounds like the Liningers hate gay people. I hate to tell you there are hundreds of gay men and women even in Coeur d’Alene, law-abiding, taxpaying people, and some might even have a gun. Even at your Republican convention there was a block of time for gay people.
To the Liningers, I don’t care if you have guns from one end of your house to another. I never have been against gun rights but assault weapons are something else.
Third, I’m not a hypocrite. You do not know me and you don’t know who I am. You make your assumption on yourself. I could be your next door neighbor. I am one of those born agains; you assume that because I want some gun rights I’m not, in your words, “God-fearing.”
One reason I don’t like Donald J. Trump is because he wants to build walls. He wants all Muslims out. Sounds like hatred; sounds like another Hitler starting, God forbid.
The Republicans have left Trump. He is alone, a really scary thing. He knows Putin in Russia — scary again. And Donald J. Trump never disavowed Louisiana KKK founder David Duke. Wow! What next, Liningers? You’ll have your guns and all minorities shipped back, including Mexicans. What next, Liningers? KKK rallies at Coeur d’Alene mall, popcorn, peanuts and white robes?
God help us. Vote Hillary Clinton.
