| October 29, 2016 9:45 PM

PLUMMER — Jordan Davison scored on a 4-yard run with 1:52 remaining and Devin Whaley-Arroyo had an interception in the final moments for the Lakeside Knights in a 26-18 win against Lewis County in the season finale for both teams on Friday.

Lakeside (5-4, 3-3 White Star League) quarterback Bryar Sanchez finished 7 for 14 with 144 yards and two touchdowns, also running for a touchdown.

Lewis County (5-4, 5-3) jumped out to a 12-0 lead after the first quarter, but Lakeside scored 18 straight points to take a 18-12 lead after the third quarter. Blake Webster scored his second touchdown of the night to tie the game for Lewis County.

“We just really hung in there tonight,” Lakeside coach Chris Dohrman said. “We went down two scores early and battled back in the second quarter. Our kids played really well on both sides of the ball. Both Devin and Bishop Fisher had a great night defensively and it was a great way to send our seniors off with a win.”
