“We played as I expected being on the road,” NIC coach Kelsey Stanley said. “Started off slow and back on our heels. Happy with how we adjusted to them and brought our game the last 3 games. Yakima has improved tons and didn’t back down at all.”

Kerista Goodpaster had 18 kills and 14 digs for Yakima Valley (11-10, 4-7).

NIC returns to action next Wednesday at Blue Mountain in Pendleton, Ore.
