MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Working knowledge of traffic and/or transportation related planning methods, techniques and procedures, including data collection, data analysis, travel demand and analysis models, and related techniques and procedures. Working knowledge and understanding of engineering, economics, finance, and sociology as it applies to transportation planning. Maintains knowledge of current literature and recent developments in the transportation-planning field. Possesses the ability to work independently and in-group settings EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE A four year degree in transportation planning, engineering, and/or related field and two years' experience in transportation planning. Consideration will be given to an equivalent combination of training, education and experience. The applicant should have a working knowledge of land use based travel demand forecasting techniques, highway capacity analysis, and network evaluation techniques.
