KOHLES: Kindness is strength

| October 5, 2016 9:00 PM

Kindness: The state or quality of being kind; a friendly feeling or liking, gracious, a willingness to do good. Imagine that in the current national political climate of the mean school-yard bully. But, for Richard Kohles, candidate for Idaho State Representative in District 2B, kindness is a part of his platform. Some might consider this a sign of weakness. It is just the opposite, however. It is a sign of strength. Richard and wife Jean have lived in North Idaho for 43 years.

He has served on the following boards of directors: Post Falls Schools, Hospice of North Idaho, North Idaho College, TESH, Women’s Center and Habitat for Humanity. As a real estate agent and associate broker he has also served as president of the Coeur d’Alene Realtors and of the Multiple Listing Service.

Priorities in Richard’s platform are a world-class education for Idaho’s children and health care extended to all of Idaho’s citizens! He would like to help create an economy that works for everyone while also believing in taking care of our planet. To quote him: “Service is the rent we pay for the gift of life.”

A Civility Conference is to be held Oct. 13 at North Idaho College. If one looks up the meaning of civil, the personal definitions describe Richard Kohles. Vote for Richard Kohles because he is a civilized choice in our fractious world.
