Michelle M. Anderson, 58

Michelle M. Anderson was born Nov. 29, 1957, in Chicago, Ill., to Emil A. Duquette and Helga (Salomon) Duquette. Michelle passed away on Oct. 24, 2016, from complications of diabetes and cancer at home with her husband, Walter Anderson by her side.

Michelle and her mother had moved to the Boston, Mass., area when she was 2 years old. Michelle attended elementary and secondary school in the Boston area and then attended Bunker Hill Community College, majoring in culinary art.

Michelle worked in several of the more prestigious restaurants in the Boston area and was working for a catering company as a sous chef when she met Walter while catering a Christmas party in December 1998. She and Walter were married on Nov. 3, 2000. They have since made their home in Post Falls, Idaho.

Michelle loved her home and yard making both a showplace. She loved to decorate and entertain.

She is survived by her husband, Walter and her mother, Helga Powers; an aunt, Irma Blake; an uncle, Udo (Dena) Soloman, all of Venice, Fla.; and lots of friends. She is and will be sorely missed by all.
