MAY: Month for memories
Kudos to Penny Inglis (May Baskets story, April 29). So many old traditions are now a thing of the past and it’s rather sad that people are now so wrapped up in their lives and too busy to stop and do as Penny does, to bring a little joy to others through her kind gesture of May baskets.
Yes, Penny, I remember hanging the baskets on door knobs and running and hiding also, plus the poles with ribbons of multi-colors we skipped around. A few years back in our Indian Meadow neighborhood, we had next-door neighbors with two small boys who did that at our house. I thought it was a very nice thing from them and their thoughtful mother for thinking of us.

P.S. Former wonderful neighbors in many ways. We’ve sure missed you!
