SIMS: Clearly qualified
Just who is this Paul Amador that is running against Kathy Sims for State House of Representatives?
What we know is that he is 34 years old and that he has worked for the government and various universities in California, Nevada, Indiana, and is currently employed (less than four years) at the University of Idaho.
He is the Director of Program Development and a student advocate — basically, he is just a student community organizer. My question is, will the university give him time off while he is a legislator in Boise?
By his own admission, he has NO experience in politics, and only became a registered Republican this past February. He says he understands the needs of North Idaho, but also said he voted for Kasich in the presidential primary. Kasich received less than 7 percent of the vote in Kootenai County, “not exactly a mainstream candidate.”
He has NO legislative experience, NO voting record, NO business experience, and has never worked in an industry that wasn’t supported by tax dollars. Now, he thinks he is qualified to represent us in Boise. What could possibly go wrong with that scenario…
Kathy Sims has years of legislative experience and a long voting record. She has been a conservative Republican “all of her life.” Kathy owns her own successful business and employs dozens of people from our community. She has lived in Coeur d’Alene for decades and has been a very active member in our community.
Kathy Sims is unquestionably the most-qualified candidate to be our State Representative.
