EASTER: Thank you, Jesus

Jesus, thank you for your sacrifice

For which you gave your very life

Yes he died upon the cross

For you and me and all of us

Can’t begin to know your pain

We need to thank him for all we gain

Now we know the reason why

Jesus came to earth to die

They drove the nails into the boards

Now that must hurt our deal lord

The gates of heaven had been closed

For how long, no one knows

Heave’s gates are open now

As Jesus takes his final breath

So we can enter when we’re laid down

For our final rest.
