Mary Louise May, 78, of Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, passed away March 23, 2016, at Hospice House. Mary was born on April 12, 1937, in San Antonio, Texas, to Ivon and Evy (Kirby) Pritchard. Mary grew up in Corpus Christi, Texas, where she graduated from high school and college with a bachelor’s Degree.

She met Wales E. May and married in 1962. During her lifetime, Mary lived in San Antonio, Texas, Corpus Christi, Texas, Santa Rosa, Calif., and finally, Coeur d’Alene. During her working career, Mary and her husband, Wales, owned several restaurants in Santa Rosa. She also worked at the Santa Rosa Community Hospital; and, in Idaho, at the Idaho Youth Ranch. She enjoyed her garden, reading and picnics in the park. But her true joy was spending time with her family.

Mary is survived by her son, Wales May of Eureka, Calif.; two daughters, Dianna Dirkson (Ben Kiesby) and Dena Hollenbeck (Jerry), both of Coeur d’Alene; her five grandchildren, Sebrina Washburn (Steve), Cassandra Calvert, Kyndra Wright, Kurt Wright and Kyle May; and three great-grandchildren, Ayden Washburn, Austin Washburn and Nicholas Calvert.
