Activities ahead for all levels of athlete
This is part two in my annual listing of notable athletic events around cycling, running, triathlons and general fun happenings.
I have published this list each year for the last few years and this year is by far the largest selection of events yet.
Here is a look at the upcoming bike, walk, run and fun for the rest of the 2016 season. Since I split the schedule into two segments — Winter/Spring and Spring/Summer/Fall — it has trimmed down the list just a little bit. As mentioned, I cover western Montana, North Idaho and Washington since many of us enjoy weekend adventures to partake in marathons, half marathons, triathlons, SUP races and other healthy activities.
Keep in mind that many of these events are fun and easy to participate in and are great for family outings and jump starting an active lifestyle. This year looks to have some great run/walk events centered around all age groups, from elite athletes to great kid races. Other additions to an already busy event schedule are more half marathons than ever and for Coeur d’Alene, a half Ironman along with a full Ironman in August.
