Sanders easily beats Clinton in Idaho caucuses

Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders crushed Hillary Clinton in Tuesday's Democratic caucuses throughout Idaho, 18,640 to 5,065, according to the state Democratic Party.

Democrats turned out in record numbers, with nearly 24,000 participating in the presidential caucuses. That beats the previous record from 2008 by about 3,000.

The Idaho Republican Party presidential primary took place March 7. A total of 222,166 ballots were cast, with Ted Cruz receiving 100,928 votes (45.4 percent), easily beating Donald Trump (62,466/28.1 percent).
