Trading Post Hardware has temporary digs

Rathdrum Trading Post Hardware is in a temporary location in Stein’s Shopping Center while its new building is under construction in the Super 1 Shopping Center.

The temporary location of 6,200 square feet where Rathdrum Fitness was previously is in the eastern wing of the Stein’s location. The previous location of 10,000 square feet next to Rathdrum Drug evidently will become a Dollar Tree store. The new place of 12,200 square feet next to Columbia Bank should open in July.

With nine employees, Trading Post Hardware’s full service, independent and locally owned. It offers a fasteners section and supplies for plumbing, electrical, paint, lawn and garden, Husquevarna rigging, lumber and rental equipment.

Manager Matt Smith says “It’s all about service...and our popcorn is always fresh.”

Hours are 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 9:30 to 5 p.m. Sundays, and expanding when in the new store. Phone 687-4730. Check www.tradingposthardware.com.

MoonDollars Bistro reopens in Post Falls

With a full menu, daily specials and beverages, MoonDollars Bistro has reopened at 609 N. Syringa in Post Falls.

Items include starters, sandwiches, gourmet burgers, salads, soups, pizza, beer, wine and well drinks. It’s beside Dickinson Insurance near Northwest Specialty Hospital and Polston Avenue.

Originally open in 2007 and often with live music, hours are 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. weekdays and with special events on Saturdays. Partners are Rick Demming and Jacqueline Dickinson. Phone 777-7040. Check www.moondollarsbistro.com.

Sack Lunch Comics near PF Walgreens

The culmination of a dream with brothers Matt and Aaron Brazee, Sack Lunch Comics has opened at 615 E. Sixth Ave. (behind Walgreen’s at Seltice and Idaho), Post Falls.

The store offers new and back comics, toys, collectibles, games, trade paperbacks, graphic novels and statues. A grand opening is planned for Saturday, May 7, to coincide with National Free Comic Book Day.

The Body Shop opening downtown

Group fitness is the specialty of The Body Shop, which will open April 1 in the former Candy O’Brien’s space in The Plaza Shops at 210 Sherman Ave.

The classes include Zumba, group strength, yoga and more and emphasize motivating and social experiences for a healthier lifestyle. With co-owner Jamie Lee, The Body Shop also is at 1378 Biztown Loop in Hayden.
