PREP GOLF: Viking girls second at Clarkston invite
CLARKSTON — Post Falls’ Joseph Glenn shot an 8-over 80, and teammate Nic Riorden finished with 86 to lead the Trojans to a third-place finish on Monday at the Clarkston Invitational held at Clarkston County Club.
Emily Callahan of Coeur d’Alene shot an 86, good for third place individually, and the Vikings were second to Clarkston in the girls tournament at Quail Ridge Golf Course.
“We had really tough conditions” Lake City girls coach Corey Owen said. “We drove through a snowstorm heading down, and it was super cold and super windy.
“It was our first tourney of the year and it showed, but I was impressed with how we battled today.”
“They were difficult conditions for everyone, but something to build off of for sure,” Lake City boys coach Troy Anderson said.
