James William Cagaly, 55

Jim passed away peacefully at his home Feb. 29, 2016, with friends and family by his side. Jim was born Nov. 26, 1960, to Martin and Margaret Cagaly in Modesto, Calif.

Jim grew up and lived in Merced, Calif. He eventually moved to South Lake Tahoe then to Placerville to work in law enforcement. In 1999, Jim retired with the El Dorado County Sheriff’s office and moved to North Idaho where he called home. Jim was married to Kendra on Jan. 30, 2010. The two of them loved traveling together and seeing all the sites. Jim also loved hunting, fishing, fast cars, time with friends and family, and spending time out looking for “critters.”

Jim is survived by his wife, Kendra Cagaly; children Krysten, Matheau and Jesse; five granddaughters; and numerous other family and friends.
