ELECTION: It's your duty

| March 6, 2016 8:00 PM

I am writing to encourage people of ALL ages to be informed and vote! It is our responsibility to vote. Our founding fathers clearly intended that we should accept this responsibility without hesitation. Not only is voting a responsibility but it’s our right from the Constitution. We need to take full advantage of our rights, including to vote.

Sometimes a person says, “I’m not going to vote because no one is running that I want as president.” Others might not vote because they are uninformed and don’t care much about politics. If this sounds like you, then you are giving the person who you don’t want elected another vote because you could have voted for the candidate you thought would be the best choice for America.

Voting is a privilege given to us in the Constitution and not to vote would be considered an insult to our country’s founding fathers. Don’t be lazy this election season. It is your right, responsibility, and privilege to get informed and vote.
