Cruz visits Cd'A Saturday

The details of Ted Cruz’s visit to Coeur d’Alene this Saturday were released Thursday by the Idaho Republican Party.

David Johnston, the party’s executive director, emailed a media advisory regarding the “Ted Cruz for President Rally.”

“The Idaho Republican Party welcomes Sen. Cruz and his campaign to Idaho. The Idaho Republican Party does not endorse primary candidates, but will announce the visit of any declared Republican presidential candidate as a service to the public and Republican voters in Idaho. The Idaho Republican Party continues to coordinate with all Republican presidential candidates, encouraging as many as possible to engage Idaho primary voters,” stated the advisory.

The event will take place from 2-3:30 p.m. Saturday, March 5, at the Kootenai County Fairgrounds, 4056 N. Government Way, in the Jacklin Event Building. Attendees should use the Golden Gate entrance.

Marco Rubio will also be visiting Idaho this weekend. The party also announced Thursday that Rubio will be in Idaho Falls from 5:30-6:15 p.m. Sunday. That rally will be held at 2080 International Way.

Rubio will also hold a rally from 7:30-8:15 p.m. Sunday in Boise. That event location has not yet been released. It will be announced online at http://bit.ly/1WYl8lS.
