COLFAX — Zach Sensel had two hits and drove in both Coeur d’Alene Lumbermen runs in a 10-2 loss to Rock Creek Select to finish play in the Palouse Summer Series on Saturday.

Thomas Robinson threw 11 first-pitch strikes for Coeur d’Alene, but a seven-run fourth inning by Rock Creek put the game away.

“I thought Thomas (Robinson) threw great, outside of one inning where we did not play very well behind him,” Coeur d’Alene coach Zach Clanton said. “We have to be better so good appearances don’t go to waste. Zach had a good day at the plate. He’s going to keep getting at-bats as long as he keeps producing. He’s been doing great as a sophomore.”

Coeur d’Alene (5-12) returns to action on Friday, hosting the Apple Valley Packers at 6 p.m. and Columbia Gorge Hustlers at 8:30 in the Spokane-Coeur d’Alene Wood Bat Classic at Thorco Field.
