BREXIT: The people speak

| June 26, 2016 9:00 PM

The historic event that transpired in the voting booths throughout the U.K. would have Churchill lighting up a celebratory cigar in his grave.

The wager that David Cameron took in extending Britain the referendum vote to exit from the European Union has proven itself to be a poor one for him politically but an ever triumphant win for the people who made their voice heard with overwhelmingly.

Agree or disagree, 71.8 percent turned out and nearly 30 million came out to vote. The highest turnout since the U.K. 1992 general election.

This is a vote for Britain in the historic separation from the EU and repudiating themselves away from the 28-nation political and economic partnership.

The EU will soon dismantle by the compounding effect of the surrounding nations’ decision in following U.K. example.

U.K. sovereignty is now solidified and a bona fide precedent of what happens when the elitists underestimate their people.

The great divorce commenced with England and its matrimony between open trade among each nation can now begin giving further identity to each standing nation rather than a collection of factions with beneficial ties. I congratulate David Cameron and congratulate the people who let their voice be heard.
