AIDS: Now hear this, vets

Bottom line: the VA considers hearing loss as a medical issue rather than a disability so there is no service connection required. I was impressed with the service I received from all the VA staff in Coeur d’Alene, Post Falls and Spokane. Time to receive aids was less than four months from time of application to fitting of aids. You are a vet if you served in the military and received an honorable discharge. Check with the Veteran Services Office in Post Falls, 446-1090.
