LAKES: One great school

I have been reflecting on my son’s three years at Lakes Middle School. Our family’s experience at Lakes has been amazing. It’s the perfect fit for my son. The principal, Jeff Bengtson, has really helped make it an amazing experience. I have been involved at Lakes since day one of our son being a sixth-grader. It’s been great to work with Jeff as part of the PTSA (two years co-president, one year as treasurer). Jeff has been receptive and responsive to the needs, questions and concerns of the PTSA.

We are excited about the future for our son and sad to be leaving the Lakes Family. The environment created at Lakes has helped my son to feel safe, secure and allowed him to flourish academically. I am grateful for the leadership that Jeff provides at Lakes.

My son has had great experiences with the administration, staff, counselors, teachers and staff! I have enjoyed the same positive interactions. The teachers and counselors have worked with my son’s advanced academic needs! They have helped him be challenged and move ahead.

Having positive interactions across the board is a direct reflection of Jeff’s leadership.

I am thankful for our time at Lakes. I am proud of the leadership I have witnessed Jeff provide. I know Lakes has an amazing future with Jeff as the principal. We will miss Lakes, but as the saying goes, “Once a member of Lakes’ family, always a member of Lakes’ family.” We wish Lakes the best future possible.
