CRASH: A team effort

Over the past six years we have had the honor of hosting the Mock Car Crash and Assembly for the Lakeland High School Senior Class.

I just want to extend my gratitude to the agencies that make this event happen. Anita Kronvall has spearheaded this event every year, and without her it would never transpire. Thank you! The Idaho State Police Department, Kootenai County Sheriff’s Department, Rathdrum Police Department, Northern Lakes Fire Department and Life Flight are all very instrumental in making this event a valuable lesson for our students.

These first responders take their own time to plan and conduct this event. They do this because as organizations and individuals they truly care about the youth in our community. Additionally, Bell Tower Funeral Home, Superior Towing, Triple Play and NW Recumbent are also active participants in making this event a reality. We extend our gratitude to them as well.

We never know the effects this event has on helping our youth make positive decisions regarding drinking and driving or texting and driving, but I believe with all my heart it saves lives. THANK YOU!
