Northstar Retirement community in Coeur d’Alene recently broke ground for an expansion of its assisted living apartments.

The new addition will add 14 new apartments bringing the community’s total number of assisted living apartments to 43. The new apartments will include studios and one- and two-bedroom residences.

The expansion is expected to be completed and ready to open in 2017.

North Star Retirement, 2340 W. Seltice Way, is an independent living and assisted living retirement community offering a continuum of care that includes 104 independent retirement living apartment residents.
