POEM: To family and friends

Tis the day before Christmas, when we all reflect.

What’s in that package, what to expect.

The day is so festive as we finish the trim,

And look back in time, what we did now and then.

Our hearts grew with joy of surprises in store,

The meal we’ll partake, of turkey and more,

While we say grace, and thanks to God above.

We remember this day that Christ brought forth,

the meaning of Love.

And all those in Heaven as we hold hands to pray,

Will sing all the praises that began on this day.

Merry Christmas, Jesus.
