PRESS: That's good news
My newspaper was late Wednesday, but it was worth the wait.
First, the best news in a long time for the average North Idahoan — more important by far than the Dow nearing 20,000. Wages are up. Unemployment is near zero, which means that if you want a job, you should be able to get one, and for a better wage. And, for the right wing, there is less excuse for not working.
Second, on the op-ed pages there was a reasoned argument [Chris Carlson’s “Headed wrong way on political freeway.”] Not just the usual radical hyperbole that seems to be the norm. Not that there wasn’t some of that, too, but it was refreshing to see a thought-out opinion. I enjoy an argument when it’s thought out, even when I disagree.
Oh. My newspaper is usually there on my porch when I get up.
