DEPORT: Record set straight

| December 23, 2016 8:00 PM

I recently wrote a letter to the editor regarding sanctuary cities, which are in defiance of federal law.

A letter to the editor appeared on Dec. 16, criticizing me by name and suggesting that I was brain dead and in favor of deporting illegal aliens who haven’t committed a crime while living here. (I think he was trying to read between the lines.)

Actually, I’m not in favor of breaking up families and deporting “undocumented workers.” They aren’t terrorists, they are hardworking people and good neighbors (but deport the criminals).

I also have a 135 IQ, which would qualify me for membership in MENSA, so I’m hardly brain dead.

Also, who to deport is not my decision. That’s up to the government, who hasn’t asked for my advice.
