A CHRISTMAS POEM

| December 14, 2016 8:00 PM

There was a child born Christmas Day,

Did you know he is God’s son?

Did you know he is the Savior

Prophets said would someday come?

Did you know he is the only one

Who can save men from their sin?

That he was God’s perfect sacrifice,

For there was no sin in him?

With humbleness he would give his life

And to the cross would go,

To bear our sin, shed his cleansing blood,

This was his choice, did you know?

But death had no power over him,

His death he overcame,

And we like him can live again

If we call upon his name.

And did you know he has prepared

A very special place

To dwell with him eternally?

There we’ll see him face to face.

Now at Christmas time as I think of him,

I must say I’m glad I know

This child who’s done so much for me.

Do you know him, do you know?
