Golder, a transfer from Bonners Ferry, also hit three 3-pointers for Sandpoint (2-5).

“Trinity’s starting to work into our offense; she’s becoming more comfortable with the things we want her to do,” Bulldog assistant coach Will Love said.

Grace Kirscher had 11 points and seven rebounds for Sandpoint, which travels to St. Maries on Tuesday.

Morgan DeMent had seven points and eight rebounds, Melissa Krampert had seven points, Avery Summers 10 rebounds for Priest River (2-4), which plays host to Newport next Saturday.

LAPWAI — Leading by 5 points after three quarters, the visiting 3A Tigers shot 2 for 13 from the floor in the fourth quarter and fell to the two-time defending state 1A Division I champion Wildcats in an afternoon tilt.

The Wildcats hit 17 of 23 from the floor in the second half.

Keelie Lawler scored 24 points for Timberlake (7-2), which was missing two key players from its eight-player rotation, while a third played limited minutes due to illness.

“I think fatigue played a factor,” Timberlake coach Matt Miller said. “We played hard, and the kids gave a lot of effort. But you’ve got to give a little resistance on defense.”
