Donald 'Dale' Talbot, 56

| December 11, 2016 8:00 PM

Donald “Dale” Talbot, 56, of Hayden, Idaho, went to meet his Maker on Dec. 7, 2016, in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, with his family by his side.

Dale was born Feb. 27, 1960, in Rushville, Neb., to June Marie Stabler and Donald Lloyd Talbot. He grew up on a farm near Rushville with his sister and three brothers. Growing up, he loved the open spaces where he would hunt and ride dirt bikes and four-wheelers. Dale graduated from Rushville High School in 1978 where he was on the football team.

After graduation, Dale worked as a volunteer firefighter in Rushville. However, Dale spent most his life working in the propane industry. His career took him to Nebraska, Montana, Wyoming and California before settling in beautiful Hayden in 2002.

Dale met Angela Denise Bischoff in Pocatello, Idaho, and they were married on June 21, 2003, in Hayden. They spent time camping, cruising in the GTO, taking day trips, spending time with their dog, taking walks by the lake, barbecuing, enjoying summer nights on the patio, gardening and remodeling their beautiful home. Dale and Angie lived each day together to the fullest. They would have rather loved hard and lost than to never have loved at all.

Dale was very proud of his four children and their accomplishments in life. He was the type of father who encouraged his children to appreciate nature and the small things in life. Dale had a unique relationship with each of his children and loved them with all of his heart. Not only was he an extremely proud father, but also a grandfather to two grandchildren who he enjoyed spending time with and loved just as much.

Dale was a huge fan of the Nebraska Cornhuskers and the Kansas City Chiefs. His favorite pastimes included fishing, drinking Bud Light, hunting and enjoying the simple things in life. He had a funny way of making people laugh, even over the smallest things that only he thought were funny.

We will always admire Dale for his strength and courageous fight with cancer.

Dale was preceded in death by his parents, Donald and June Talbot; father-in-law Larry Bischoff; his nephew, Patrick Talbot and his brother, Ronald Talbot.

Dale is survived by his wife, Angela Talbot of Hayden; his children, Morey Talbot of Pensacola, Fla., Mary Pierce (Chuck) of Helena, Mont., Franchesca Talbot of Helena, Natasha Talbot of Orland, Calif.; his grandchildren, Xander Chavis and Makiyaa Kelsey; his siblings, Sherry Goings, Steve Talbot (Sheila) and Craig Talbot (Sherry); his mother-in-law, Pauline Bischoff; sister-in-law Carla Noble (Jim) and sister-in-law Melody Talbot. Dale is also survived by many nieces and nephews who were dear to his heart.

A celebration of life will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 13, 2016, at Yates Funeral Home and Gathering Center, 373 East Hayden Ave., Hayden, with Yates Funeral Homes in care of arrangements. A luncheon will be held after the celebration. All family and friends are welcome.
