STORIES: Tales of courage

I suppose the election coverage might have had people’s minds on other things or I missed seeing responses to the women who shared their breast cancer stories in The Press throughout November.

I would like to say “thank you” to each and every one of these women for coming forward and writing the story of their fight against this horrible disease.

It is every woman’s (and man’s) fear to hear this diagnosis from their doctor. I have been lucky to this point, but if ever I do hear those words said to me, I hope I will handle the news and treatment with the bravery all these women showed in their fight.

There are blessings in their victories.
