PREP BASKETBALL: Post Falls boys, girls romp past East Valley
• BOYS BASKETBALL
POST FALLS — Jake Pfennigs made three 3-pointers and scored 13 points in the third quarter as the Post Falls Trojans pulled away for a 65-36 victory over the East Valley Knights in nonleague boys basketball play Tuesday night at The Arena.
“We broke the game open in the third quarter with our defense,” Post Falls coach Mike McLean said. “The first half was the first time this season we didn’t have attention to detail; the first half, we weren’t executing all the little things. In the second half, we came out and had attention to detail, and some of the shots we missed in the first half started to fall.”
Pfennigs had seven rebounds, Drake Thompson six assists, David Bourgard five assists for Post Falls (3-0), which had 19 assists as a team.
Jeremiah Hillard scored all 10 of his points in the first half for East Valley (1-3).
